Rajasthan Royals go into this game with two wins from two matches and with such all-round strength, they look capable of cementing their place at the head of the IPL table at the expense of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Sanju Samson, captain of Rajasthan, has so far done a great job in conducting his bowling cohort, having successfully defended totals in both of those wins.
A particular feature has been the Royals’ death bowling by the likes of Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna and Navdeep Saini.
However, with the quality of Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer in the batting line-up, the home side will be confident of chasing down any score, if the toss brings about the latter scenario. They look to have most bases covered.

Having said that, RCB, who lost their opening game against Punjab Kings but then won a low-scoring affair against Kolkata Knight Riders, were many people’s idea of this year’s champions before the tournament got under way.
Any team that can boast the services of captain Faf Du Plessis, the genius of Virat Kohli, plus David Willey and Wanindu Hasaranga among their number, must be taken very seriously indeed.
